Alik Hermetz, since 1995, is President of WALES, Ltd., the Israel Missile Defense "Think Tank", and is also the Program Manager of the Israel System Architecture and Integration (ISA&I) Study, which the main goal is to define the long term vision of the Israeli Missile Defense System.
Alik's distinguished military service spans 28 years, during which time he was involved in strategy and long-term planning to mention but a few. He was Head of Planning Division of the National Security Unit, Assistant to the Chief of General Staff and his concluding assignment was as Assistant Director of the IMOD Defense R&D Directorate. In 1991, Alik retired at the rank of Colonel entered the public sector and appointed as Deputy Program Manager of the Arrow Program in Israel Aerospace Industry Ltd.
For many years Alik has been involved in international Missile Defense forums covering all aspects of this subject matter. Alik is a renowned presenter in the field of Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) at annual AIAA, 3AF and other renowned conferences.
Alik holds a BSc in Industrial & Management Engineering and an MA in Public Policy, both from Tel Aviv University, and is also a graduate of the National Defense College.
